Andrew Glenn

Director of Music

​

Hired in 2014, Mr. Andrew Glenn has revitalized the Music Programs at Estrella Foothills. A graduate of Arizona State University for a Bachelors in Music: Music Education-Instrumental, graduating in 2014 also received his Masters in Music Education in 2018. Mr. Glenn has a robust playing background allowing him to teach many different styles.

 

Under his direction EFHS has seen the creation and growth of a String Orchestra, Color Guard, Winter Guard, and Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Mr. Glenn is also the Program Director for Convergence Indoor Winds, and Independent Open Class Winds Ensemble.

Alex Ralph is a dedicated educator and performer with over a decade of experience in the marching arts. In 2018, Alex marched with Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps, further fueling a passion for excellence in marching percussion. For the past seven years, he has been teaching and mentoring students across various high school and indoor percussion programs throughout Arizona.

Alex is also a founding member and the Assistant Director of Estrella Indoor Percussion, an Independent A Class ensemble committed to fostering growth, discipline, and creativity in young performers. Through his work, Alex continues to contribute to the development of the marching arts community both on and off the field.

Joanna Loveless
Music and Visual

Joanna Loveless is a dedicated and passionate music educator and performer whose marching career began here at Estrella Foothills High School. There, she marched in color guard, on mellophone, and concluded her senior year as drum major. After high school, she continued her performance journey with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, marching mellophone.

For the past four years, Joanna has returned to her roots, serving as a visual and music instructor at Estrella Foothills. She works closely with both the marching band and the indoor percussion program, helping students grow in skill and confidence.

In addition to teaching, Joanna has been a member of Convergence Indoor Winds for the past two seasons, where she holds the leadership role of horn captain. With Convergence, she helped make history as part of the first indoor winds group from Arizona to compete at WGI Finals.

Andrew Mekhail
Bass Line Tech

Andrew “Drew” Mekhail is a young performer and educator pursuing his 2 second year in teaching as the Bass Tech for Estrella’s Percussion section. Graduated from Willow Canyon High School in 2024, Drew has marched bass drum and quads for the school all 4 years and has also performed with Convergence Indoor Percussion finishing his 5th season.

Drew is also part of ASU’s Sun Devil percussion as their bottom bass. He continues to better himself as a performer getting a world class education from ASU with the goal of making a WGI world class finalist group while simultaneously giving the students of Estrella Foothills percussion the education they deserve to head down the right path of this amazing activity

Lindsey Dale
Visual

Graduate from Arizona State University with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. Visual background in marching band, drum corps, winter guard, indoor winds and independent dance studies. Almost a decade of teaching experience including marching band both high school and college, color guard, winter guard and winter drumline.
